“A little whimsy makes the world feel kinder.”

My work is rooted in a lifelong relationship with art, nature, and storytelling. Growing up in a family of artists and spending my life painting has shaped the way I see the world—as a place full of quiet moments, gentle humor, and beauty worth slowing down for. I’m drawn to wildlife, natural landscapes, and small narrative details that invite the viewer to pause and feel a sense of connection.
I work across painting, illustration, and needle felting, allowing each medium to inform the others. My style balances semi-realism with warmth and whimsy, using earthy color palettes and soft textures to create work that feels both familiar and slightly magical. Teaching has always been an extension of my art practice, and my experience as an educator continues to influence my work—I create not just to make art, but to encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence in others.
At the heart of my work is the belief that art is a shared human language. Whether through a painting, a handmade object, or a creative community, I hope my work fosters a sense of comfort, wonder, and connection—reminding us that creativity belongs to everyone.
I’m an Arizona native who has made a life—and a lot of art—here. My husband and two grown daughters are part of the landscape of my everyday life, shaping the quiet moments behind the work. I create from a small studio in Surprise, Arizona, where ideas wander in, supplies pile up, and a little everyday magic always finds its way into the work.
